Purple octopi have an appetite for all things cryptic and magical. Some are even great potion makers. Of course you can also just adopt one for its pretty colour and cute face. Like all octopi they are loyal and loving friends and gives great hugs (no wonder with all these legs - or possibly arms). It will just occasionally need to go off on a little quest to satisfy its sorcerous needs.
