Our store operates out of Berlin, Germany and Portland, USA.

Octopus Circus was founded in California in 2012 at a Santa Monica College Crafting Club. Carnelian King   and Kayla Banks have always
crocheted constantly, and travelled around to conventions selling these octopus plushies. For the past 8 years they have gone to festivals, pop up markets and fairs all over- renting tables and finding these octopi loving homes.

 In 2020 Octopus Circus became a larger venture. Our crochet artists live all over the world: Ghana, Greece, Belize, Cancun, the Philippines, Germany, the Czech Republic, Cancun, Indonesia, Iceland, Italy, and the USA. 

Using the healing effects of crocheting, in combination with the empowerments of financial viability, to empower people from vulnerable groups in third world countries such as migrants, out of work artists, and asylum seekers.

Our group has partnered with a social aid program in Greece called 'Anazitites Theatrou'. 
 To offer a chance to crochet where they might otherwise have no alternative work opportunities, 5% of our profit goes to them. This group can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/fixinart
